After having children, I lost my size three body. I didn’t so much mind being bigger as much as not being able to get things done and the lack of energy.

When you’re overweight and out of shape the mere thought of working out is painful. You look on the TV and see those perky skinny people telling you how great you’ll feel and figure OK, they’re right, I’ll try it. Then you try it, and you don’t feel good, in fact you feel closer to death. That hardcore approach may look good on shows like the Biggest Loser, but for me, there is no way I would continue on a program that made me feel badly or made my body hurt like that.

Well, I’m here to tell you that done correctly you can feel good from day one. I know it sounds like a lie, but it isn’t. I have embarked on this twice now and both times I’ve felt great.

I first worked with Steve from 2000-2004 and he assisted me to get in much better shape. His techniques are realistic with where you are at physically, so you never overdo it and you can actually enjoy working out. I worked with him over that time and dropped about 75 pounds and it stayed off.

In 2008, I got very ill and required three surgeries. I had gained some of the weight back but my big thing is that I want to increase my stamina.  I started to work with Steve again a few weeks ago and I have to tell you I’m still amazed. The first workout we just stretched. My posture came back. I could bend over. I felt better. I have a way to go, but I know that this approach works and I feel a thousand percent better already. When have I ever in all my years looked forward to workouts? Well before working with Steve, I’ll tell you how many – never. Now, it’s the highlight of my days.

“I wasn’t one to exercise on a regular basis although as I got older I knew it was really necessary. I was having a serious problem with my left shoulder which I had repeated injured. It was hurting all the time and getting stiffer and stiffer. I couldn’t raise my arm above the shoulder or reach around to my back anymore without extreme pain. I went to chiropractors, a massage therapist and even had an MRI. A year then two went by. Nothing handled it and it got steadily worse to the point where I realized I was going to have a frozen shoulder if I didn’t do something about it.

“I knew exercise was probably the answer, but nothing I was doing was working, so I called Steve. Within one workout I could tell the difference, after a month my shoulder was almost back to normal, in two months I could stretch my arm out fully and had full range of motion back. It was a miracle!

“Steve’s workouts are different each time, depending on what my body needs. He always consults me on what is going on and he customizes the workout to ME!
When I leave a workout, I’m always energized. I’m ready to take a long walk or swim a mile! I have so much energy. He never works me to the point where I’m sore the next day (or week) like other trainers sometimes do, and I think I get better results than many of my friends. Steve knows what a particular body can do and what it needs and he creates around that.
