Welcome to my Blog

Thanks for dropping by! After nearly 35 years as a personal trainer, I’ve decided to not just make my information available to the broad public, but to also make it entertaining, educational, motivational, and fun!

This site is a missing link –  the link between all the information that exists in the marketplace of diet and fitness ideas, and the typical American trying to get in shape and/or lose some pounds, and who is having tremendous difficulty doing so because he or she is not using that information properly. This typical American, in other words, is most everyone who has ever tried some kind of diet or fitness program at one point or another. Sound familiar? Sound like you? Then I’m sure you’ll find some real value here.

Ever know anyone who exercised regularly, maybe an hour or so on the treadmill every day, but couldn’t drop any weight? The fact is, if you’re overweight, you can exercise as much as you like and it won’t solve your problem. You also have to pay attention to the food and drinks you are consuming. If you want to lose weight, put on weight, have more energy, build muscle, or simply grow strong and healthy, then diet and nutrition is at least 75% of the battle.

The problem is, the entire subject of diet and nutrition can become easily confusing, especially if you look at the number of books on nutrition, weight loss programs, and fad diets that are on the market, each claiming to be the instant solution to solve one’s problems. Then there are all the food supplements, each one also claiming to be the solution to this or that diet, nutrition or fitness problem.

I’ve got news: there is no single correct solution to problems of diet, nutrition and fitness!

Purpose

The purpose of this site is to help people just like you to achieve their fitness goals. I’ll help you wade through the sea of complexities regarding fitness, and break it down to simplicities that you can apply easily and continuously. I’ll also show you how to do this in the simplest and most effective way possible.

Plans

What I do is guide people, letting them decide which program is best for them, so as to eliminate the time spent jumping from plan to plan without ever enjoying any kind of success. If it becomes your program, then you’re more likely to stick with it. This is done by using “The Interview” which you can sign up for right here.

My plan is to present true life stories. By helping an individual attain their fitness goals, it enables them to have a fuller life and one without unnecessary attention on their body All of that unnecessary, nerve-racking time spent reading fitness and diet magazines and books, worrying whether or not you’re doing the “right” things the “right” ways, can be spent instead on living life!

I want to build a community of people reaching their goals. That, in turn, will assist others in reaching their goals.

There will be frequent interviews with professionals from all areas of the health and fitness field, as well as with people who have achieved remarkable success. So check back often. You’ll be glad you did!

Found at Last! The Two Reasons Why Exercise and Diet Programs Are Not Working For You

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

1)    You’re not following the program the way it was designed, or

2)    It’s not the right program for you.

Let’s take a look at number 1:

How many times have a heard, “I’m so bored with this program?” The first thing I ask in return is, “What did you DO that was not on the program?”  “I followed it perfectly” is usually the answer. “Wow! That’s interesting, because when you lost 10 pounds the first 2 weeks you weren’t bored. As a matter of fact, you were elated! Now, what was the “cheat”?  “Well, I missed a meal. That can’t be a cheat!” may be the reply. “Did you miss meals those first 2 weeks?” I ask. “No,” they reply sheepishly. “Thank you! What else was OFF?” I continue. “I missed workout yesterday.” They say. “Thank you! What else?” I ask again. “I ate a small piece of birthday cake…but it was my sister’s birthday and I didn’t want to be rude.” They answer. “Great! What else did you do or not do that was supposed to be on the program?” I prod. “My sleep was off; I didn’t drink enough water; I ate too much oatmeal. That’s it! No wait a second….I added sugar to my coffee; I had two diet cokes at dinner and, oh yeah, I went back to white bread rather than the kind I’ve been eating!” They answer with a huge smile on their face. “OK! I see what I’ve done! Time to get back on the plan!” they realize. Once they see their transgressions they’re ready to get right back on it

“Imagine during the course of one year, 8 different 6-week programs.  This leaves you 4 weeks of pure indulgence! Even if some or most didn’t work like you had wished, you’re still ahead of where you’d be if you had just been idle (or even worse, reading every diet book, magazine and article and getting more and more confused!) .  This will help you find out which program works best for YOU, and also realize that what worked before, might not be what you need now.” …AND VICE VERSA!”

Now, the 2nd reason:

This program just doesn’t work for you.

You’ve followed it to a “t” and no progress…Arghhhhhhh!!!!!!!

Well, now you know that you can check that one off of your list. Even if you didn’t get the results you wanted, you’ve been disciplined on a program and chances are you’ve made some results anyway. Healthier, more energy, whatever…

Remember, getting in shape and reaching your ideal body can include some non-optimal occurrences with the body…headaches, lack of energy, aches, etc.  Not to worry, these are temporary and doesn’t necessarily mean to abandon your program.

So, in a nutshell, pick a program and DO IT EXACTLY as directed and don’t discuss with all of your friends and ask several people’s opinions if you’re “doing the right thing.”

RESULTS will answer that question for you!!!!
