Working with Steve…

Meeting Steve was not what I expected — in a good way. When I think of fitness trainers I think of scary people who only wear wife beaters and yell and scream and say, “one more rep” when what the mean is “three more reps”, but that wasn’t Steve. I expected someone who only talked about squats and reps, but that wasn’t Steve at all either. Instead, Steve gave it to me straight, was funny, kind, and a pleasure to work with.

I met with Steve to talk about some writing projects he wanted to start working on. After our initial phone call, I Googled him and learned he was a personal trainer in Clearwater, but was staying in Chicago for awhile. I am a writer in Chicago, helping companies with the writing aspect of their Internet marketing. Steve called me up and told me all about the writing projects he was working on. He asked if I could coach him through them. I was intrigued, so we met for coffee and he explained to me about his program.

The honest truth is I’m not really interested in fitness. It’s not one of my hobbies or a point of interest in my life. Since working with Steve, that has changed a bit. He makes it so personable and I love hearing about his stories, how he helps people achieve their goals by using methods that actually work. I can tell by his passion and his experience that The Bloomberg Method really is a program that works with people’s strength and weaknesses. In fact, in the week after meeting Steve, I found myself trying to sleep more, drink more water, and move more than usual. It was almost unconscious, just trying to see how I’d feel if I followed the program. Truthfully, I felt better.

Steve’s enthusiasm and professionalism is electric and catching. He quickly became one of my favorite people. We work together on his exciting writing projects and I can’t wait to see them all come to fruition and position him to disseminate the knowledge of The Bloomberg Method and what it can accomplish. Because after working with Steve just this short time, I know it can really help a lot of people.
